Our drill blanks are triple tempered for the longest possible life, and all heat treated blanks are straightened and stress relieved. O.D. Grinding

O.D. or Cylindrical grinding is grinding that occurs on the external surface an of an object between the centers. Straight or stepped rods can be ground concentric to the centerline of the part. The two surfaces will be moving opposite directions when contact occurs. At our 3600 square foot facility, we have 3 cylindrical grinders that are capable of grinding parts to your specific needs regardless of amount, width, length, or hardness.

I.D. Grinding

I.D. grinding is grinding that occurs internally and is performed in holes of round part that have too much material left for lapping. We have 1 I.D. grinder in our 3600 square foot facility which is capable of grinding parts to your specific needs regardless of amount, width length, or hardness.

Centerless Grinding

Centerless grinding is an effective way of saving time and money on finishing parts. Tolerance of .0001 or less can be held on diameters ranging from .005″ to 3.500″ and lengths from 1/4″ to 15 ft. long. There are two types of centerless grinding, Thru – feed & Infeed. When Thru – feed grinding, the work goes on one side of the machine and comes out the other. The Infeed method is used when work has a shoulder, head or some portion more extensive than the ground diameter.
